I'm Patty, and I got into having fish around when I was a sophomore in college.

It started with a blue gourami that I rescued from being flushed. Her owner was moving out of the dorms and didn't want the hassle of transporting her home.

So there I was, a new fish owner with a blue gourami in a 2 gallon tank. After doing some research, and taking advice, I got a 30 gallon tank for my new Dies, and she was with me for a year and a half.

Now I'm the proud mommy of two bettas, Bob Marley and Devin Townsend. Dies has since passed on after she decided to jump ship on me while I was in class.

But alas, I hope to learn more about these wonderful companions. :) My roomies think I'm crazy for how much I adore my fish.

Welcome to this great community!!!!! :D

flushing a fish while it is still alive is one of the worst ways to "deal" with a fish. it's sad.
it is lovely how you rescued it :!:
