Hello everyone,
I have at last decided to join Tropical Fishkeeping because, since deciding last spring to buy a tank, I have found all the helpful advice and guidance I needed to start up my aquarium.
We live in rural France and so are a bit thin on the ground where fish suppliers are concerned but the local Pet Shop has on the staff a very knowledgeable young lady who has helped a great deal.

I hope one day to be as useful a member of your community as you all are but in the meantime - thank you for the encouragement in what has already turned out to be an absorbing hobby. Gill :-D

you can also add them straight from your computer.
just down this page where you post your answer there is a "manage attachments"
click on this option,and you should be able to upload

Being such experienced aquarists is really great to know I'm getting it right. I love the heap of plants, and so do the fish. I was surprised (and confidence battered) when someone called at the house and immediately announced "Too many plants - that's why you have all that algae". I rarely have to clean the glass, the only downside is vacuuming the gravel, which is not impossible but difficult :-?. Not sure she had seen Java moss before!!
