hey guys

I've had my 65 litre tank for over a year now n all is good. I have had numerous problems with neon tetras over the year from swimming into the filter and had numerous cases of fungus disease. Was just wondering if anyone new any equivalent fish to neon tetras which aren't as sensitive to disease and more hardy. Can be any other species doesn't have to be a tetra. Just for next time would prefer a small attractive species which is more hardy.

Thanks

The number of tetra (characins) that are similar in size, temperament, needs to the neon is immense--just check the fish in our profiles under characins.

Beyond these, there are several rasbora species. They are under the cyprinids.
Cyprinid Species

Given that this is only a 65 liter (around 17 gallons) tank, I would not consider any danio or barbs as they need more space being more active, and most get largish too.

Some of these will need more specific water parameters than others, as many of the small fish are wild caught. These are noted in the profiles.

Byron.
