Hi there, new to the forum.
I have a 29 gallon FW tank, kept at around 74-76 Degrees Farenheit. i have 8 Neon Tetra, 8 or so swordtails, a hillstream loach and a striped raphael catfish currently in the tank. plastic/silk decorations.
there does not appear to be any ammonia in the tank
Today i came home from a week long trip and noticed one of my neon looked a little odd. it's got a few whitish grey patches (especially on it's head) and seems to have either swelling or a mishapen body, mostly in the belly area. i have included pictures, not the best of quality but should prove sufficiant.
Is this a case of neon tetra disease or something else? i would hate to euthanize the little guy if it turns out to be something that's curable. it doesn't seem particularly anti-social, if anything it seems a little aggressive, going directly after fecal strings off the swordtails.
Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated!
