Upgraded from a 10g to a 55g after 2 months lol. In my house the only available spot for the 55g was in my living room in front window. I know its not the best place but it was seriously the only place it would fit.

It has been set up for 2 months. I live in South GA and it has been getting chilly. I have a 300 watt heater but the temperature will not stay stable (guessing because that darn window)

So my main question is.... Will thermal/blackout curtains help keep the temperature stable?

Hello there. In my experience as long as you put money into a well made sun blocker type curtain meant to block out 99% of the light you will be fine. It helps to go ahead and spend the extra bucks for something nice and thick, and get something lighter in color. Remember dark colors adsorb heat. Lighter colors reflect.
