Hi all! I am back with this beautiful forum and I have decided to create a thread to post about my fishes.

To start off: I have, as of 3/17/14, 4 tanks.

My centerpiece tank:
10g
5 Glofish Tetras
3 Neon Tetras

Anubias Nana
Amazon Compacta
Giant duckweed
Water Sprite

My 10 gallon is my pride. I have 2 orange, 2 red, and one green glofish. There was originally 4 neon tetras, but one died of ich. Ich has infested the tank before, but I overcomed it with salt and raised temperatures. They seem happy. I have black and natural yellow/white sand. Theres a lava rock too, and an artificial stem plant. I use a Marina S10 HOB filter and a Tetra Whisper 10 airpump with an airbar.

5.5g
~5 RCS, struggling to breed them.

Java Moss
Water Lettuce
Banana Plants
Anubias Nana
Dwarf Sag

This tank started out as my original tank. I had 3 of my now 5 glofish tetras, my first fish in a few years, in here before the 10. Then it held a red veiltail that I have sold. He was a great fish too. Now, I am using it as a shrimp tank. It has blue and riverbed colored gravel. I had a bunch more RCS but alot died. Still figuring out why. I hoped on getting them to breed and start selling some but I am still struggling. If they die out I'm going to turn it into a guppy fry tank or something. It has a S10 HOB too.

2g
Male Dragonscale Plakat Betta

Amazon Compacta
Duckweed
Banana Plant
Water Sprite

This was my first nano planted tank. I was going to go with walstad but didnt find good dirt. Its just sand with a riverbed colored gravel cap. It originally had 3 RCS in it. Then, my veiltail after it moved from the 5.5 gallon. Now, it holds my Dragonscale. Hes quite the sprit. It has a air powered filter, powered by the same Tetra Whisper 10.

~5g Sterilite Tub
Guppies, in the future

Giant Duckweed
Water Sprite
Hornwort, in the future

This is sort of a "plant farm". I use it to grow Giant Duckweed and Water Sprite. Hopefully I will add some sand to grow more plants in the future and add some guppies for something to look at that's interesting and that will feed the plants. I have been selling the Duckweed recently. Has a Top Fin 10 HOB filter with some filter floss. I only use it to clear the water at water changes.

I will be adding pictures soon! Stay tuned! :)

You see, I dont have a testing kit. It seems to be something with the water. I will take a sample to get tested soon!

25-30% water changes weekly
Set up for about a month, but had cycled media
I dont feed them, i think they can survive on the algae alone. Should I be feeding them?

i feed mine 2 times weekly.a bit of algae wafer.

when you have your water tested, get the actual numbers for ammo, nitrite, nitrate and ph.most places will tell you your water is "good" or "bad" and avoid the actual numbers. better yet would be getting a liquid test kit. it not only gives superior results,it also helps you understand your water parameters better.

excellent water quality is the number one thing,we as fish keepers should strive for.this is their entire world after all.

what temperature is the tank kept at?

75-80. My house is heated so I dont use a heater.

I doubt its because of food, when I put in a peice of an algae wafer they barely touched it. Same with some flakes.

The original trio!

I got my 10g

Got a betta for my brother and he was in the 5.5:

A while after, but still him; the day I shipped him out :'(

My 2g

Got 3 little shrimps for it, but sold them later on

Now, my new Dragonscale Plakat is in there:

My once glamorous Giant Duckweed farm

My just set up shrimp tank:

The current 10g setup.

And the current Giant Duckweed setup (note how sad it looks, it wont grow unless theres some fish in it, which I'm working on!)

And the current 2g, look at what algae did, it totally killed the once giant water sprite :(
