Iv just undergone a large and overdue pruning of the plants in my top tank, and my Cherry Red Shrimp ARE NOT HAPPY!
All of the Wisteria and Red Tiger Lotus was overgrown and covering the surface of the water, the amount of shrimp congregated on them was immense, now they have to find new places to hang out.

The fish in there have felt the need to break out the sunglasses as there getting plenty of light now

That's funny! I just did the same thing yesterday, and got rid of a good handful of stuff. Much brighter now. I also syphoned out a lots of babies, and put them in my other tank. Most didn't make it to far, got gobbled up pretty quick by the fish :nicefish::roll:

Funny, mine are the other way around... but the shrimp are outnumbered about 5 to 1 still. They have taken to the driftwood over the plants. I drilled holes in the wood to provide little caves in addition to the cracks and crannies so they tuck themselves out of harms way in the wood. Very hard to find them.

Seeing as they are all still alive I'm going to pick up a few more tomorrow... maybe bring them to 2 to 1.

Jeff.
