Help with Pleco!!
A day ago, I noticed my Pleco has a red fleshy spot by his nostrils, that puffs out a bit. Today, I had noticed a white spot on his side. It seems to be expsing bones?? I don't know what kind he is but he is about 4inches long and have him in about a 50 gallon tank. Water levels are normal, but I had found him hiding in the filter a couple of times. Could he have hurt himself in the process of getting inside of it? I have tried getting pictures, but he hides.

It could be that or one of the decos in your tank is too rough. What are the other inhabitants? Could there be someone picking on him? If he has open wounds you're going to want to keep the water extra clean.
