Hope it is up to snuff. No CO2, took it out 3 weeks ago now.
NO3 7.5ppm, PO4 .5ppm, K2SO4 10ppm 3x weekly
CSM+B to .2ppm iron on other days 3x a week
MgSO4 and Calcium citrate once a week
50% water change weekly

Plants include Cryptocoryne Red Wendtii, Pearlweed, Ludwigia repens (Primrose), Anubias Barterii v. Nana, Christmas moss, Limnophila aromatica (I think), tall green one in middle back

Fish include 2 BN pleco, male and female; 18 neon tetra, 1 albino glowlight tetra, 2 swordtails.

Looks good! All it needs is a blue or black background to hide the equipment. And I'd take out the colored gravel...
Otherwise, nice tank! Cute plecs :nicefish:

Well the comored gravel is my wifes contribution, if she had her way it would be brighter.

As for the background, blue or black huh, I was thinking dark green and painting it on there. Any thoughts?

Black and blue tend to be the most popular colors. Green would be interesting, but the plants might blend in a bit. I wouldn't paint it on, because if you ever got tired of it you can't take it off. (Not very easily anyway.)

Oh another suggestion -- you can buy a straight hard airline tube from your LFS that will sit right where you want it to, without the distraction of tubing all over the tank. :wink2:

I have officially been proven wrong. I've always thought that neons were completely overrated and I've never really liked them. That's great though, I knew that had to school to look really good, but wow! Now you have me thinking...

Lovely tank!

Here is Bud, he is the ruler of the tank. Had to take out some Julii cories because he wouldn't let them come out of the plants. The female is a lot harder to get a good pic of but she is the other picture on the Anubias.

I have had him for well over 8 months and never realized he has blue eyes until this picture. Was supposed to have his equal, in size anyway but she died at the LFS. :BIGweepy: His hopefully mate is only 3.25 inches long and although she flirts I don't know if she is sexually mature yet because they haven't even tired. Bud is only 5.25 inches long

Oh and lesson learned, don't put two females in the same tank unless you are barbaric because if I would have left them together they likely would have fought to the death.

The barbarians?:blueshake: I hate being quite barbaric.:blueshake:
By the way, your BN looks gorgeous.

dprUsh83: :bluelaugh:  Want some neons? Change your oscars with them. :brow: I'm going to stick with rummies for my heavily-planted tank plan. Maybe quite sensitive but I still like their tight-shoaling activity. Even if I lost 13 last July, I will try to keep a new batch again. I'm trying to get my feet back again.:) I miss keeping rummies.:blueworry: They were such stunning fish which I unfortunately, lost after the temperature keep soaring.:blueworry:

Now let's not be crazy here...I have been proven wrong in that they're extremely cool, to my surprise. I can say without a doubt that they're not nearly as cool as oscars!

How dare you comment such a thing to the neons! Oscars are not nearly as cool as to what you are thinking.:wink2: They're just monsters. And I don't like keeping monsters other than my cute green arowana. :tease:

HMPH!
My O is certainly NOT a monster. More like a wet Labrador Retriever with a food addiction... :tease: :blueyay:  :greenyay:
BTW, Rummynose Tetras ARE AWESOME. Neons, kinda tired of them since they are EVERYWHERE here...

Your tank looks lovely fish_4_all :D

The colours on the neons are really vibrant, perhaps the blue in the gravel brings them out more.

I guess so. I still like rummies even if they are worse than neons in terms of transportation issues.
