I have 2 guppies. I think 1 is male and the other is female. I noticed the female getting skinnier and skinnier 2 weeks ago. I was told by a pet store employee to separate the fish. I did and I've noticed the fish still isn't eating. What can I do? She's suffering and I love my fish. Could she have a disease? She's also been very curved lately. It's like her "spine" was snapped. She just floats on top of the plants all day and swims away when I feed her.

Also, I've had both fish for over 1 year and they've always lived together without any problems.

Thank you in advance for your help.

There is a possiblitly of disease. Dose she have any noticible discouleration or white /grayish spot on her?
Is there any discoloration of her gills ? Dose she seem like she is gasping?
