I need some advice for one of my clown loaches I have a community tank with 15 loaches five of them clowns and 9 golden zebras and one queen all get along, and I have never had any fighting or scraping issues just now when I went to give my fish dinner I noticed a big scrape down the side of one of my clown loaches and a chunk out of his tail it looks clean the scrape is all down his one side what should I do? he was acting normal but is hiding now I have a heavily planted 120 gallon aquarium with driftwood I have a 3d rock wall with cut outs for the intakes I don't think the loaches can hurt them selves in there though they are too big to fit in

Posting a picture would help us identify what might have been or is the cause of the scrape.

I did catch the scrape on him. It looks like it might have been something he got stuck in or scraped himself on. He looks health though and he is swimming around so I think he will be ok. I know you would like to find out what made the scrape but sometimes things happen. I believe he will survive and the scrape will heal.

My clown loach is healing nicely most of the scrape has disappeared except for the part that was wider and deeper it turns grey then the original color came back and the tail end is starting to grow back

That's good news! Just keep a close eye on him to make sure secondary bacterial infection doesn't present itself.

You must be doing a good job with water changes to have it heal up so quickly and nicely
