Looking good!

I like the "looks of" deep tanks but if you do not have any experience with one - Brace Yourself!!!

My tank is 30" deep and even with my long arms I cannot reach the bottom.

Have you started procuring the longest tongs, python tubes, tweezers, wall scrapers, etc. that you can find!

If not those are my suggestions.

Hi there. Your 'deep' tank is looking really good so far. Can't wait for pics when it is established & stocked. If i can make one suggestion.If i were you, i'd extend the filter pickup so it was closer to the floor of the tank otherwise you will get very little water mocement in the bottom third of the tank.

I know silk plants are low maintenance.

For what this is worth may tank is planted

I very much enjoy the "looks" of live plants;
I believe that they are partially responsible for the typical low nitrate concentration in my tank and
By changing the "trimming pattern" of the plants the "looks" of the tank varies.

Several plant which grow to 3' could be placed in the tank as well as the typical 1' and 2' plants.

Do not know that a few floating plants would be appropriate for your tank geometry!

Yes: they are a slight "pain" to maintain in my tank but IMHO way more that worth the effort.

I had a tank just like that, except it was a Hex shape. It's looking pretty good so far. With those kinds of tanks you are limited with aquscaping, don't want to go too overboard otherwise it would be a pain to clean the ground.

How tall is the tank from top to bottom? The one I had I think was 32" or 36". I had to get up on a chair to reach the bottom when cleaning it :lol:

What kind of lighting you got for it? Either it's still in the process of clearing up in the pics, or it could use some brighter lights. I'm loving the silk plants though, plans for any real ones?
