I agree...if you manage the tanks the same so the water quality is nearly the same AND the temperature is pretty much the same, you can safely move fish from one tank to another. Acclimation (preferably drip) is really important when the water is, or may be very different...in pH, hardness or other aspects of quality. This gives the fish a better chance to slowly acclimate to the change(s).
In a tank to tank move where the water is basically the same, it's really not necessary.
