i need the measurements of a 55g tank including the plastic trim.
if somebody could please help me out,i am going to start building a
stand and i want to make sure i don't build it the wrong size.
the only measurements i can find online are as follows
48 1/4 L x12 3/4 W x21 H this is including the trim at the top and bottom.
from what i see online there seems to be only one size for the 55.

Depends on the tank that you are going to get.
Is it a Standard 55 gallon? Is it short and stumpy? Is it tall and skiny?

its the standard from what i remember..
maybe i need to call the shop i seen it at to make sure.
hopefully they can give me the measurements.
its a long drive for me to go there so i hope they will.

Thats your best bet since there is are SO Many types of tanks out there.

the standard one is a 55 gallon high tank, i can try to find the measurments for you

good news, i called the place and they gave me the measurements
i just needed the base it is 48'' x 13'' so ill make the stand 49x14 that way ill have a half inch wiggle room...oh they gave me a heads up while i was on the phone with them.There having a sale on them starting tomorrow the reg price is $110 with the glass top and 2 light strips, tomorrow they will be $98.00 sale is supposed to end sometime in March.
