I have looked at a few posts involving this type of scraper.
It has been my experience that only a metal bladed (I have glass tanks so, if you have acrylic, don't use this) scraper takes algae off once it is visible. The magnetic scrapers don't seem to make a dent.
My question: would the magnetic scrapers be good to take off the invisible stuff on the glass (the film is the 'anchor' so to speak) before the algae really takes hold and showing: something like a preventative. Namely use the magnet scrapers before the algae become visible.
thanks
