Hello there...ive been using Seachems Prime as a water conditioner for a while now..but I am wondering if the Kordon's AmQuel Plus water conditioner is just as good? Id appreciate any input!
Both Prime and Amquel Plus use sodium thiosulfate to break chloramine into chlorine and ammonia. They both then eliminate the chlorine and bind the ammonia (using the same chemical, I think).
Prime claims slime-coat protection and heavy-metal chelating. Amquel does not, as I recall. (Sorry I'm too lazy to look it up right now.)
Prime is more concentrated, so it's cheaper per dose.
