I'm trying to decide between the Aquapod and the Nano cube for a freshwater tank. Talked the LFS, who carries the aquapod, and he said the nano cubes catch fire, that its a known issue that JBJ hasn't dealt with. Anyone heard of this??
That's funny, I thought aquapods where having the problem with fires. I have had my 12g DX for 2 years (nanocube) and other than a bad ballast (no fire) have really enjoyed it. Some say that the older nanos had a problem with glass cracking but I haven't had that problem. Sorry I don't have any experience with the pods. Since your in the market for an all-in-one tank I would check out the Oceanic Biocubes. I saw one this last weekend and it seems to be a nice piece of equipment and looks well set up. Plus it's from Oceanic. It comes in 8g, 14g and 29g I think and Dr. Fostersmith and Petsolutions should carry them. I will soon be setting one up for my mother.
Good luck
