Izzy, I'm starting to think we may need to define the meaning of the word "tomorrow." Cuz' I keep saying the same thing, and I'm starting to suspect that "tomorrow" ACTUALLY means "next month sometime if I get lucky." Hang in there, girly - autumn is on it's way!

AHHHHH! Camera got here but I had to run off to work (lol kayaking for money). By the time I got home it was too dark. AHHH!!! I want to put this baby through the ringer so badly!

*long drum roll* PICTURES!!

The light isn't cooperating with me, so these are the best I can do until I finish the book that is the instruction manual.

This is a new angle that you guys haven't seen the pond from, but it's the angel from which visitors to my house most often see the pond. It's easier to stand on a wall than walk through the brush.

The pic from above gives a hugely different perspective in the size of the pond. From ground level it doesn't look like they have much room... this way it looks huge!

Thanks, everyone! I'm really hoping to get a nice sunny day so I can get some up close pictures of the waterfall and the pond. Gotta mess with the settings to get some good pictures of the koi. They are surprisingly fast for something so large (and chubby in Halloween's case). The weather has just not been cooperating. It's been overcast and hazy for weeks now.

Cool to see this pretty pond from a different perspective. I love it (puppy, too!)!
If ever I were lucky enough to visit, no way would you keep me up on that wall! I'd be through the brush so fast - and prolly camping out down there! ^.^
Thanks for the update. . . can't wait for a sunny day, so we can see more!

The sun is trying to cooperate. It really is, but those darn thunderstorms keep getting in the way. The sun finally broke yesterday like 10 minutes before the thunderstorm hit. As I was outside taking these shots I could hear the rumbling thunder.

The good news is I think I'm getting the hang of this camera.

Thanks, Bekah and John! Although I'm pretty sure I could take a bad picture of that pond lol. It's called WAY too much exposure or ISO cranked all the way up. I like to experiment to learn how things work.

Bekah, I have six koi that are about 1 foot each. That's six feet of fish in my pond.

Well the weather is cooperating, but the light sure isn't. This time of year, the koi pond just doesn't get enough light for good photos. I'll have to check other times of the day. BUT. I did try out my new panorama feature. Enjoy!

It's about that time of year to give the pond a little bit more TLC before I tuck it in for winter. I've been outside pulling weeds and generally cleaning it out. The weather has been gorgeous and cooperative. I have sunlight! And the koi have been... well a little less so. There is a nice patch of sunshine on the far part of the pond. I would have the camera out and take a few crappy pictures of them not in the sun, give up, turn camera off, and they would all go explore the sunshine. Gr... Turn it back on and they leave. I did still manage to get some nice shots. I love how close the zoom lets me get. I love those little noses!

Just a different perspective.
