would you say this fish is a

1 - petenia splendida (red bay snook)

2 - Parachromis managuensis (Gold Jaguar Cichlid)

iv never seen a jag this colour (not even the gold morph!) but it look jag like.

thank you for your comment, I think it's a nice fish. Those pictures are not of my tank, but of the jag's previous owner. Not sure of tanks size but at a stab 6 maybe 7 ft long, wasn't actually that wide, I'd say maybe 18in, but was very deep 30in.

there was a lot of food all over the sand in the previous owners tank, (ie. squid and prawns) I'm thinking that her poor health is due to the previous owners bad water conditions.

no its not just the pic :( to look at her she looks like she has ammonia burn eyes fins and body.

she looks a little better now, just my tank that looks sick as she has ripped out, up and to bits all my plants :lol:

im going to do a 5x2x2 or 6x2x2 black stand, dark blue backing, black substrate, that tree stump thats in the jag tank and blue lights, O'yeah and the Dovii, i have 2 Doviis at the mo just hoping 1 is male
