Hi,

I bought the top fin air-1000 for my 10 gallon tank - seems to be the smallest they make, but it is way too powerful for my small tank, and is increasing the overall noise level of the tank - in essence it is making my nice relaxing tank, not relaxing.

Are there air-pumps that will more slowly or gently introduce bubbles into the tank?

here is the cheap fix. air control valves.

If you get a gang valve you can use the spar airline to raise brine shrimp or do what will happen anyway, get another tank.

at most the diaphrams life will be shortened.if you are worried about it,get a small gang valve instead and bleed off some of the pressure by leaving a channel open.this way you can dial in the flow you want.this will be safer for your pump.

Thanks for the advice. I got the airline control valve.

It works great!

Now I have a nice relaxing little bubble maker and the fish seem to have fun playing in it.
