more of a hypothetical, but i'm curious, and the price is appealing to get the 8 lamp one

Sun Blaze T5 Fixtures - 4 Foot - 2,4,6,8-Tube
T5VHO fixture (2-8 bulbs)

on a tank 4'x2' ... about 24" deep tank (custom)

what would be too much light ?
(i am going to guess even high light demanding plants will have their limits)

this will have to be hung from the ceiling and moved further or closer depending on how intense you want the light to be.seems like overkill.

isn't it though, ... sometimes overkill is ... well it's an option, maybe not a smart option, but an option

i'm sure that could easily get more intense than the sun, ... would have to compare with the sun hitting the tank on a sunny summer day (for those without a light meter)

i think there was a 12 bulb one somewhere, am looking
