My betta fish, Liverpool, died last night. He had been sick for about 3 weeks, and even though I tried to help him by treating him with antibiotics, there didn't seem to be anything I could do expect keep him comfortable. I'm pretty sure it was dropsy. Now, I find myself with an empty 10 gallon tank, heater, and low-flow filter. I have sanitized them, and I'm now considering what to do with the tank. I could transfer my other betta, Gilligan from his 5.5 gallon tank to the bigger 10 gallon tank. However, I wanted to consider my options before I move forward with the transfer. What would you suggest I do with my 10 gallon tank? I have an even bigger tank (15 gallon) that houses 6 black skirts, so I am capable of keeping schooling fish. Thanks in advance :)

I absolutely adore my powder blue dwarf gourami. He has an amazing personality and they come in other colors as well including honey, sunset and the normal blue/red striped ones. You could do a dwarf gourami and a school of cardinal tetras. :)

I have yet to cycle the tank, and I am just considering my options before I fill it up again. Therefore, I have no water parameters to give you. However, I can tell you I use RO water provided by our local pet store because my well water is poor quality.
