How big of a tank is it? How long has it been set up? How many and what other kinds of fish are in the tank? Have you added any salt to the water? If so, how much salt?
The more info you provide, the faster I can help. There are safe medications to use, but I'd first need to know the answers to the above questions before I can suggest a specific med. Also, What is the water temp and could you post your water test results for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH?
