I have a gold fish that is struggling to eat. He chases the pieces and try's and try's to catch them but he can't.
A closer look revealed a mouth injury so severe that there are literally no more moving lips left. I researched mouth rot and did all of the recommended treatments but I haven't found any information anywhere on line that suggests his little bottom lip will grow back. It's heart breaking to see him continually try and fail to grasp food. I got him with 2 other gold fish who have grown quite a bit while the injured one has not.
Is there an alternative way to feed him? Will his lip grow back?
What do I do?
He's fully healthy and active otherwise.
