Jingle Betta's

Dashing through the tank,
In the filter powered stream,
Over plants we go,
Flaring all the way!
Bubbles burst all night,
Dimmin' all my tank lights,
oh what fun it is to clean and sing,
an aquarium tune tonight!

A day or two ago
I thought I'd cleaned the tank
And soon it turned bright green
So did the water they drank
The scrubber didn't work
Misfortune seemed my lot
I saw the betta's smirk
And we all got upsot

A day or two ago
The story I must tell
the bucket hit the floor
And on my back I fell;
the water gushing by
I can't keep it at bay
the bettas laughed as I lie
and then swam away

The floor is now wet
The bettas flare again
I grab the nearest net
And sing this aquarium song
Just get more snails
the scrubber I don't need
throw it off the rails
And crack you'll take the lead

it is to replace the snails

I really love your song entry but unfortunately, the contest was to re-write the 12 Days of Christmas (Fishmas) and I can't submit it for voting

We'll switch it up next year and will probably have more song selections to re-write or leave it up to the members. You might want to hang on to this song until the next contest because it's really good :thumbsup:

Gah!! I'm sorry about that!! I should have read more closely I just got Too excited.

I may hang on to it, since I can definitely do some tweaking for next year. Unless if we switch it up and I can use it again even if I post it this year?

You bring up a good question. . . I want everyone to read it, cuz' it's fun!
It's really up to you - we haven't settled anything about next year yet! ^__^
If we did end up doing something that you could resubmit for next year, I see no problems with it. You'll just have to remind us to watch for copycats, or we can take it down at a later time?

We'll definitely make sure to start things earlier next year if we do this - so EVERYONE can have have plenty of extra time! *hugs*

If you want to submit it next year, I wouldn't give anyone any ideas and would want to save it all for myself
