I have had trouble with plants in the past (although the ones I have now are doing well, so far) and I was wondering what affect a high (8.2) pH would generally have on plants. The water out of our tap is 8.2 pH, and I have in the tank--anubias, a few crypts, a few vals, a crinium bulb, and some sort of a lilly. Anyone else have experience with alkaline water and how it affects plants/fish?
