I've developed a problem with hair algae over the. I've tried phos out and API hair algae remover and nitrate remover but it seems to be getting worse. My readings are all low except nitrate at 40. On my api test strip.

Nice tank! When was the last time you did a water change?

I do one once a week

I've reduced my light on time to 3 hrs a day and been adding liquid co2 every 2nd day but nothing seems to be removing the hair algae.

I have 8 ornamental tetra and 12 neon cardinals. 4 peppered catfish and 6 amano shrimps.
