My golden guarami is struggling hard. She was laying on the bottom of the tank gasping. I pulled her to the top of the tank to I don't know help her breathe. It seemed to help. I have her resting in a colander over the tank so as to not sink but now she looks like she has the hiccups.

Can you give us some more information please? What are your water parameters? Perhaps a photo of the fish would help someone help you.

if she is staying at the bottom could be that she has too little swim bladder, one of my platy got it and died

Is she turning upside down or sideways? Its probably swim bladder. Very serious you can get her to live another 1-3 weeks if you use some marine salt and swim bladder infection treatment. I have saved a few guppies that way so it probably works for angel fish too. I was also able to save a Gourami with this method.
