Thats a female. The male's have a larger, more pointed dorsal fin. The female's dorsal is shorter and more rounded, like this one.

I was acclimating it, I use that because it is easier to acclimate fish in, she is in a 55 gallon now.

I do that too sometimes. I use a wee container and drip lone to slowly change the water, then net the fish out. Its easier than floating bags in some of my tanks as some of the the lids are a pain.
