It was sooooo nice and warm yesterday and the day before - I was looking forward to a hike with the girls this weekend, but today it's cloudy and chilly again. Snow in the forecast for Tuesday. Definitely not shorts and sandals weather - yet. BUT SOOOOOON (I hope)!!!!!! I feel like our world has been taken over by the White Which, it is she who makes it “Always winter but never Christmas.” T__T

Ya'll all need to move down here to Florida!

It's already mid 80s out, and the rain has just been pouring down these past few weeks. Spring is already hitting hard here!

We got rain and then half a foot of snow overnight the other day. Made some very heavy, soggy snow that's good for play and building, but not to drive in. How about you guys? Enjoying your cold Spring? =P Or is yours warming up?

I got some stuff planted and am cleaning up the gardens. So many leaves to dig out after those HUGE winds! Broke a few trees in HALF in the neighborhood, ours got out without a scratch though. What a mess, it's going to take several days, maybe a week or three, just to get the place plant-able and looking nice again, it looks like a tornado went through here(I'm wondering if a little one did!), and start work on some raised garden beds. That's my project for the year. :3
Already have some pumpkins sprouting and have a few other seeds planted but not sprouting yet(growing cucumbers for my fish and snails too, as well as the humans here, if I get enough in). Started them in pots inside this year, hoping to prolong my growing season a bit. ;D

LOL! I want my full compliment of spring - none of this winter-to-summer, with a brief stop-over of spring!

Seriously, I feel bad for you guys!

We're all out working in the flower beds today, sweating like crazy! Florida sun already out in full force, clear blue skies.

Whoa! I had no idea everyone was stuck in such cold . It's been 80s all week and really sunny. Down to the 70s today and all the flowering trees are in bloom .

Yesterday was 60-65° and sunny; first day of spring here in CNY! The good thing is that this lovely cool weather will likely hold till july before we see any 85-90° heat.
I'm waiting till we hit the 3 digit weather!!
Pools were open in my neighborhood yesterday ! I'm a happy happy girl!

I prefer a constant temp of around 50-65 myself. Higher and I tend to melt. =(

It snowed here yesterday and last night. Woo! Oh wow, we had rain first though. I went out to get the paper this morning and it was nothing but one sheet of ice out there, the WHOLE neighborhood(the sidewalks, streets, even the parkinglots). That doesn't happen often, but then we don't get big rain and then a bunch of cold and snow that often either..., well, ok, we do, this was just odd because we don't normally have the whole area covered in ice from tree tops to dirt. I skied on out to grab the paper, that was kinda fun. Didn't fall on my butt either. It's all pretty much gone now though, we had...oh, an inch, maybe two. Gone. =( I like the cold way more than the heat!

But sylver... Is it not a wonderful thing to take a bottle of champaign across the parking lot at 11pm to the pool and sip it in the still 82f water because it was 100f during the day ? And the air temp at 80f after dark ...

I just adore the heat ... Reminds me if my beloved Caribbean .. While it doesbt get that hot there it at least stays really warm at night

I'm sure it would be for others. As for me, I don't drink, I hate wine, and I rarely swim because I'm not big on water. x.x
Heat gives me nightmares when I sleep, if you don't have a pool you can go to you're forced to deal with it and I over-heat easily and get very ill....I spend all summer days over 85F-90F or so throwing up and wishing someone would just shoot me(been that way since I was about 11-12 years old, and I have no idea why, before that I could handle heat and barely noticed it)...

So yeah, ouh, I hate heat. lol I do love the rainy days though! I wish I could handle heat. I might actually like it then, so much to do in Summer that you can't in Winter, but there are only a few days I can really handle being out. =/

Sounds like the three years I spent living in Florida. No spring, no fall, no winter, just hot and dry season then hot and wet season. I'll never forget those days of getting off work around midnight and heading across the street to the beach for some late-night cocktails and barbecue. Here in upstate NY the truely hot days are so few that we welcome them as a rare curiosity... like if it snowed in Florida or southern california.
Current weather: 35° gusty winds and light rain/snow mix. But compared to the severe winter we just had, this IS good springtime weather for us.
