I know - it's never easy but sometimes necessary to end it's suffering. You have to remind yourself that you did the right thing no matter how unpleasant it may be.

Why did you have to euthanize?

sorry for your loss, i know how you feel on this one.

I'm currently stuck between a rock and hard place myself. I recently got a new 2nd hand tank for next to nothing in price. The only problem is i had to keep the fish, one of them in the tank is a sailfin plec which i cannot house at adult size.

He needs to go to a better home so he can have space to move once fully grown, but hes my favorite and seems to be good friends with my pictus cat (see my albums)

Sorry you had to do that. I think most of us have, or will have to do this at some point. I always think that this way is better than leaving it to suffer and possibly be picked to death by some of the other fish, or to leave it to contaminate your whole setup. Try to think of it in those terms and hopefully you won't feel so bad about it.
