We just got a tank with some pregnant guppies and a pregnant plattie.
One particular guppy has had something hanging out of it for two days, is this the start of the babies?

To me that looks like it's intestine protruding from it's anus. Maybe someone else can chime in. The only other thing that I can think of that it may be is a undeveloped baby but two days is too long for it to be there. Tell me, is the fish eating and pooping(have you actually seen poop coming out of it's anus)?

That's not babies. What food are you feeding them?
