After lots of talking to people and getting ideas its finally done! I have 2 java ferns and my substrate is Tahitian moon sand! All I need now is fish!!!

looks good! i'd add about 20389 more plants, but it's real nice, love the black sand. what fish are you starting with?

Those java ferns need to be attacked to something, driftwood rocks etc.
Otherwise, it looks really nice! Although I would also add a few more plants. I'm also curious about the fish you are choosing!

I am going to buy cory catfish tomorrow to start with!! And I plan on buying plants I just haven't figured out a good medium size plant to add. Any thoughts? I didn't know I had to attach them to something btw .-.

roots=/=rhizome.

You can bury the roots that's not the problem. The rhizome you can t bury. The roots come out of the bottom of the rhizome and the leaves come out the top to give an idea.

I think its a fantastic start! TMS and rhizome plants,lol, that's my kind of tank ^.^
Love the many explanations of rhizome - such qirky little thing at first, but absolutely fascinating to watch them root. . .
Only been a few days, but. . .it's time for an update! This tank is moving along quickly, neh?
