so cool when ur fish start to spawn, i remember back when my africans started with it really neat learning experience nad cool to watchI just looked into my 55 gallon tank a few minutes ago, and a male Glowlight tetra was chasing the biggest female. I wasn't sure what he was doing, but it looked similar to livebearers when they breed, so I googled it. They are spawning! Now all of them are at it! :-D My poor platys, and guppies are all hiding because the Glowlights are swimming all over the tank.
Last test was:
pH - 6
Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - 0
Nitrates - 30
Temperature right now is 78.
Unfortunately I don't know if I can keep any of them, because I only have a 3.5 gallon tank that I could put them in to raise them. :-( Unless I put them in my Betta tank, and chances are they'll get eaten in there... Well even if I don't get any babies I'm still really excited that they're all spawning on their own.
