I am oddly enough having trouble finding a clay pot for my cave. I have a nice blue glass though, that I was thinking about putting in the tank. There are no images, it's just glass. What do I need to do to the glass to make it aquarium safe?

Thanks!

Thanks, it looks really good in there! It's just blue enough that it's not completely see through, and my bichir is starting to claim it. It's cool because it is a hiding spot for the fish, yet I can still see them easily without having to search for them. :D

Hey I didn't even think about this, that new pot I boiled and cleaned to make it aquarium safe; it has a paint on the outside, but I think it is safe. It's that real smooth glossy paint on the clay pot, I've seen it in many tanks before. Thoughts?

I also like the glass better. You could also make a cave by leaning one of your pieces of rock onto the other.
Yeah I did that for a couple of seconds, but my Bichir really dug himself in and I never got to see him so I flattened it out. Now he hides in the plant I bought for him (which looks awesome) or in the pot. Either way I can see him wiggling around!
