my cousin has a tank with guppies , platties , neon tetras , a suckermouth cat , a readhead fish that i dont remember its name and a ghost shrimp.. can he breed his fish in the same tank? or the ghost shrimp will eat the eggs?? (or is it another threat for the eggs)? thanks!

Guppies and platy's produce live young .The neon's lay eggs which they and other fishes will eat if no Java moss, spawning mop, mesh netting is provided for eggs to fall into and thus be protected from the other fishes.

In addition to previous post, I should also have noted that neon tetra's don't mix too well with platy's and guppies.
Guppie's and platy's prefer hard water pH 7.5 to 8.0 while Neon's prefer softer water with lower pH 6.0 to 6.8 and hardness.
