What is the point of owning Ghost shrimp if all they are going to do is just eventually capture and eat/attack your fish I have a tank of Tetras and Guppies but they say they are no problem and Compatible of living in the same aquarium.

you don't have to keep them in a community tank, you could
have a ghost town all for themselves.
i like them and i am thinking of making a tank up especially,so i can get some.
i have never had a problem of the shrimp eating the fish,as they were always
kept well fed,if anything they would steal the catfish pellets and run off
into the undergrowth/decor.

welcome by the way:-D

i wanted guppies however i can't keep them a live for more than a week
so i have given up trying.

i think in my time of fish keeping i've been blessed and only had ICK once !
and it was with a new batch of clown loaches,it wiped out over half the tank.
i miss my big tank sometimes, even though many didn't like it.

I'm really surprised that your ghost shrimp are doing this. I've had 4 ghost shrimp with my 6 neon tetras and 2 male guppys for weeks now in our 10g. The ghost shrimp eat off the bottom off the plants and other things in the sand. We also give them sinking food pellets. When one of our neons died we found the ghost shrimp eating it, but a lot of fish eat dead fish if you don't get them out in time. We have 3 ghost shrimp in our 55g with our cory catfish and clown loaches as well and they never bother any of those fish either. If anything the ghost shrimp are far more afraid of our fish than the other way around. I would imagine either your ghost shrimp had nothing else to eat or your fish were already sick and dying. I hope you don't flush them:( Maybe the store will take them back.
