First, the fish I was talking about is definately a killifish although I haven't found the right coloration yet. Could be Pantrax, I don't know yet but is a very pretty fish and with a good diet and live food suppliments should be very vibrant. Will call or visit my LFS tomorrow and try to find out but it doesn't matter too much. Killifish should make good tank mates and with the kids liking to interact, some live surface food would be good just to watch them eat. Flightless fruit flies would be a lot of fun but can be messy but another science project :wink:
As for the loaches, definately skunk botia (Botia morleti) and they have never nipped anything but my cories. The loaches now have a tank and the cories a different one because of it.
