Ok, I didn't get my fish with the intention to breed, but sucked it up when I realised I had 5 female Platys and 1 male... The male went back to the LFS as soon as I found out. Now, umpteen fry later, I now have 70ish of varying ages and colours in my fry tank I call Middy (80L)..

To help with the tank clean up, I decided to get half a dozen Cory's (3 Bronze, 3 Pepper) and now they're spawning!! Jeez!! I know the eggs will more than likely get eaten, but seriously, more fry??? It is rather cute to watch the whole process though.. :)

:eek:mg:

Platy's are notorious for coming with a 'payload'! It can be fun to raise fry and watch them grow, but could get difficult (over crowding) - so you'll need to plan whether you expand, sell or give some away.
