First nitrite levels today

Hello it's been about a week and a half of my tank running I have 3 black fin tetras and 3 glofish tetra and today after testing my water I have .25ppm of nitrites. I know this is normal but was wondering if it had anything to do with the bacterial bloom I'm currently experiencing. My tank is 45 gallons and I do 4 five gallon water changes and 3 ten gallon water changes a week( unless my levels need more or less depending on the day)
