Is it ok to feed bugs that I find aroung the house or the yard to my fish? I have a fish that especially likes insects, but i cant be sure if it is safe. My family doesnt use pesticides on our yard, but I cant say the same for my neighbors and I live in NJ so chemicals are everywhere to begin with. It would seem to me that if the bug is alive and healthy, the toxins wont be anywhere near enough to hurt my fish. It is winter, but this is more for future referance.

I almost did the same thing. Whenever I get bananas little gnats seem to appear, I don't get it. Regardless, I decided not to give them to the fish, but got a venus fly trap instead that I leave on the kitchen window sill. No joke.

fruit flies are more safe than the creepy crawlies, make sure you have no pesticides in your fruit or where the fruit flies come from. Cockroaches are a big no no.

I was wondering about houseflies, spiders, grain moths and stinkbugs mostly as thats genreally whats around inside my house. my families produce comes almost exclusivly from an organic food place so if i end up with fruit flies, in they go. maybe i should get one of those biolody fruitfly growing kits...
