Hi and welcome! I, too, recently got sucked back into the hobby by my children. We had been tankless for a few years and then my son asked for a tank for Christmas, my daughter wanted one of her own by that summer and now we just got through upgrading them both to 75 gallon tanks (and I picked up a 125 for myself, lol).
Something I wanted to throw out there for you that has really been enjoyed by my kids is participating in the Aquatic Science project through 4-H - might be something to check into in your area for your daughter.
