I currently have a 15 watt 18' fluorecent light for my 20g aquarium. I would like to get some moss balls and java fern to introduce myself with planted aquariums. Will this be enough light for these guys or will i need to upgrade? Thanks in advance for any help.

It will really save you a lot of stress.

Of course lighting isn't the only requirement you must fill. You would do good to have a quality fertilizer. I use FlorinMulti by Brightwell Aquatics. Some plants will do way better with co2. I started a DIY co2 set-up about 2 weeks ago and have seen some really good results. I have tried Excel before but some stem plants don't do well with it. I have also noticed that my plants grow better with regular water changes.

Well I do have excel, I could use that and see where it gets me. Im good with the water changes, I keep up with those pretty well. What about vaccuming though? Will i need to take axtra caution when i get my plants so im not tearing their roots up?
