Gotta Love those Porky Pine Puffers...... Those BIG EYES just crack me up... Unfortunately I am preparing for a reef tank and much to my dismay.... Trunkfish, Cows Puffers I've heard are not good in reef tanks. I'm disappointed because I really like Porkies :?

The reason there not good in reef tanks is because It will eat invertebrates found in a reef tank. I have a reef tank that I truly love except for the fact that you can't have certain fish.

I fully support usmc's statements. Even the freshwater and brackish water puffers are not allowed to be kept with inverts. They have been known to eat shrimps, snails and crabs.
Be careful with what puffers you choose. Some can reach 30 cm or more. When buying them, have the bag double or triple bagged to prevent it from bursting due to their puffing. When they puff, the spines can stood erect and thus pricking the bag and bursting it. very common for puffers to burst plastic bags.
