I have fluval 406 filter with advanced filtration system. I also have loads of live plants in the tank. I wanted to find out if any of this helps lower the level of nitrites or water change is the only thing that helps?
Live plants help a bit, yes. Filters help provided they have beneficial bacteria(which you get during the cycling process) in them to eat it and convert it to nitrates, which live plants also help keep down a bit. =)
That makes sense It seems like I got the order wrong. For some reason I thought its nitrates to nitrites. If its nitrates at the end than it means that plants will most likely use them as its food for them.
