So, I decided to put maybe 6 angels in together and see if I can get a pair. It seems like most of the LFSs here have only a few in stock at a time. In that case, I may need to get them at different times and different places. I know angelfish can be territorial, so would it be okay to introduce them at different times, maybe within the time span of a few weeks? Or would they not get along? I also don't want to overload the bacteria and get a mini-cycle. Thanks )

Depends on the size of the Angels. Juveniles you might be alright doing that. It also depends on the attitudes of the Angels. Usually its best to add them all at once due to them making hierarchy and forming territories. Once they do that any new additions may not be welcomed.

i had a problem with my angels. when they were kiddies. i had 4 angels i got a 2 weeks apart and well ive had two angels ever since... dont know if the other ones attacked and killed em ( looks like they were killed missing all fins) all at once is best choice.

Could you not talk to the store owner and ask him/her to order you 5-6?? That way you could get them at once.

i know theres a store by me who has at least 60 babies in stock at all times

sorry just had to rub it in if you have big chain stores like petco an stuff ask them when they order their fish and tell them you want 6 they will order them for you

I may ask petco. The store was very nice when I went; I was shocked. Everything looked healthy and the fishwall person and the manager all seemed very helpful to order any fish I want.

The thing is that I am looking for a particular color. I want the ones that are silver with black stripes or very dark marbled or black. I don't really like the white color as much. I'm not sure they'd be able to order specific colors, since usually they have a variety? Or be willing to order extra just so I can be picky and possibly not even purchase them?

Also, right now I only have a platy in my 50g tank. It appears to be cycled-- no ammonia or nitrites, but has nitrates, but I am not sure the tank can handle adding that many fish added at once. :0

You would probably have better luck ordering from aquabid, as far as getting specific colors.

I have some plants yes. Not many. Some crypts, and I'm not sure those are huge nitrogen users since they hardly grow. It is 50g. I am awaiting a canister filters but currently have two internal filters that add up to about 250 gph.

The only issue with ordering online is shipping is just sooo expensive! But I may have to do that... I'm gonna go see what petco and petsmart have tonight.
