Here's a pic of my first attempt...for me, plants were frustrating....at first i simply couldn't get the substarte formation right....these were just plunked in mismatch....but once they grew in I was able to transfer to the other tank...I can only handle very hardy plants like java and anubias....plus i just happen to love fish that loving digging and tearing up stuff - like jacks and oscars....but it's a hobby right? Planted tanls seem to work well with my juvi cichlids as well - plenty of hiding places kept them relatively entertained and unstressed....
