Any chance of a pic?
The only bichirs I know are polypterus ornatipinnis, senegalensis and palmas.

Guess I couldn't find any info on it because I missed the 'r' in the word 'Bichir'! And I think it is actually called an Ornate Bichir: http://www.thetropicaltank.co.uk/Fishindx/poly-orn.htm. I have info now but any extra is welcomed, thanks. I am compiling a list of fish I may want to put in the aquarium once its setup and will post later on for opinions.

Polypterus ornatipinnis to be exact.

They are bigger than the common senegalensis. Max size is 45 cm although 30 cm is more commonly achieved.

For an Ornate bichir you will need a large tank fine subtrate, planted and places for him to hide.

You must keep the water level lower than usual and have an airtight lid. Bichirs come to the surface for air and if not happy in their home will find any hole available for escape. They are great fish I have one myself. Mine loves to eat frozen krill. They will eat any other fish they can fit into their mouths so be careful what you choose to house with it if anything.

Good luck
