I have an angel who's ventral fin grew back awkwardly. I also never really noticed his(or her) deform dorsal until comparing it to my other two. His dorsal isn't as straight as the others.

Could these deformities affect him(or her) at all? Will they be passed down to it's offspring? I don't plan on breeding them, but should they somehow parent raise their babies, I'll sell them.

If the fin was damaged by disease, or trauma deep enough into the body of the fish it probably will stay deformed. As long as the fish is eating, swimming, and acting normal it's not a problem. If it was damage, and not genetics it shouldn't carry on to the next generation if bred. There are always a certain percentage of deformed fry in any brood. They should be culled when noticed, and not passed on to other aquarists.
