Your pet starfish is an astrea starfish. Very common hitchhiker. Some say good, some say bad. I've got a lot of them and not had any issues with them.

Oh thanks i had actually figured it out with a lil research. I found a teeny tiny brittle star too. Hes so small i cant get a pic. Today i came across this guy. Sponge or urchin? Its really hard to get a pic of him, so this is the best i got.
